: : : : : : : : : : : : : Again just my opinion. Taking any thoughts on this one

: : : : : : : : : : : : : 1. Lakeside
: : : : : : : : : : : : : 2. Foothill Tech
: : : : : : : : : : : : : 3. Cantwell Sacred Heart
: : : : : : : : : : : : : 4. Arcadia
: : : : : : : : : : : : : 5. Sunny Hills
: : : : : : : : : : : : : 6. Saugus
: : : : : : : : : : : : : 7. Oxford Academy
: : : : : : : : : : : : : 8. PV
: : : : : : : : : : : : : 9. Lancaster
: : : : : : : : : : : : : 10. Flintridge Prep
: : : : : : : : : : : : : 11. El Rancho
: : : : : : : : : : : : : 12. St Marys
: : : : : : : : : : : : : 13. Newbury Park
: : : : : : : : : : : : : 14. Chino Hills
: : : : : : : : : : : : : 15. Cabrillo
: : : : : : : : : : : : : 16. El Dorado

: : : : : : : : : : : : : Lakeside is an open team. Period. The rest are once again very balanced. Im not sure this division isn't as tough or tougher than 2AA. Foothill Tech was in the CIF Finals last year and returns everyone, Sunny Hills was in the State Final last year, Cantwell is very good, Arcadia when they get their best player back will be really good, Newbury Park and Flintridge Prep will argue they have the best player in the Division, Lancaster is super athletic and will look to rebound, PV is very good, Cabrillo is unbeatable on the road. This is a well balanced division. If Lakeside goes I will take Foothill Tech or Flintridge Prep.

: : : : : : : : : : : : Did Lakeside get some transfer we don't know about in the IE? Open team? Tell us more as to how that is seen?

: : : : : : : : : : : Lakeside got a ton of transfers. They got to the finals of the very prestigious Palm Springs July tourney beating major players. They are the real deal

: : : : : : : : : : Pump your brakes calling the Palm Springs tournament prestigious. Half of the teams there either didn't have their full roster of players or their club players just started playing with their high school teams. It is a nice tournament but to call it prestigious is a bit much. Let's see what Lakeside can do during the regular season before anointing them an Open team.

: : : : : : : : : Don't typically agree with POS, but in this case I do. You can not judge any team's performance by the Palm Springs tourney in July. It was 2 days after Chicago Nike Nationals, any decent player was off playing with their club team in Chicago. So they either did not compete with their teams in Palm Sprngs or if they did play, it was not 100%, the road to Nationals is exhausting for any player. Palm Springs organizer should have better planning.

: : : : : : : : Why should she have better planning. She puts on a summer tournament and anybody can come if they want. A lot of teams do come and they all have a good time. That's the bottom line.

: : : : : : : Because a lot of these high schools pretty much require the entire team participate. And for the girls that just came off of a week and a half (Indy and Chicago) of tough competition, their bodies are exhausted and need a break, they are risking injury. I think it is bad planning to have a tourney literally 2 days after the biggest and most competitive tourneys around. If these high school coaches (and parents) would be ok with them missing, may be a different story.

: : : : : : If it were an issue they would not enter to begin with and besides it only would affect a very tiny percentage of players anyway. Not a good argument.

: : : : : Don't they have stud player that was out with ACL last year coming back this season?

: : : : Lakeside definitely got a ton of transfers.. don’t know how good they are but a coach I respect said they are a big issue in this division.. Saugus, Foothill Tech, Flintridge and Oxford are making big jumps..2A is not D3 or D4 so it won’t be so easy. With that said Foothill Tech has nasty talent and they are all seniors hungry after last year’s finish.

: : : : Arcadia needs to avoid the injury bug; feel bad for them but if everyone is on the court they are solid. PV got injured last year too but they could put it all together.. Lancaster was devastated last year, so we’ll see how they bounce back..they have some solid guards back and a bunch of young bigs...Summit has some athleticism as well.. when they are motivated they can be tough...Sunny Hills had a great run last year but they won’t surprise anyone this year...

: : : : Haven’t even fully looked at this division but from just the teams you ranked, this should be a well rounded division.. I think 2A is where a bunch of really solid programs converged. It’s no D1 but you have a lot of teams that can compete at a solid level...

: : : Lancaster gonna struggle in this division, 3AA would of been better for them. Oxford needs to make it happen this year cause their big is a senior and she's their best player. Saugus? We'll see. Where's Tustin? They have a athletic big and could make some noise.

: : : Chino Hills should be top 3-5 on this list

: It's a good grouping... if Lakeside's transfers are legit, they may do a Ribet from last year and get pulled up to open and if that happens then there is no clear cut favorite until things start panning out after SOP is over...

: I think all D3 and D4 teams that moved up will see a tougher lineup in the playoffs...
