: : : : : : : Again,

: : : : : : : This is just for conversation. Just my opinion. I know I made mistakes

: : : : : : : 1. Orangewood Academy
: : : : : : : 2. Rolling Hills Prep
: : : : : : : 3. LB Millikan
: : : : : : : 4. Dana Hills
: : : : : : : 5. Orange Lutheran
: : : : : : : 6. Huntington Beach
: : : : : : : 7. Cajon
: : : : : : : 8. Crescenta Valley
: : : : : : : 9. Burroughs
: : : : : : : 10. Pasadena
: : : : : : : 11. Buena
: : : : : : : 12. Canyon Springs
: : : : : : : 13. Roosevelt
: : : : : : : 14. Rancho Verde
: : : : : : : 15. Warren
: : : : : : : 16. Yucaipa

: : : : : : Cv, pas. And burroughs all in the same league. Cv will run away with it. They have the best player. By far, As long as she stays healthy. Cv will contend for the division.

: : : : : : : Orangewood should not be in this division. They are the Redondo of last year. They stay in they win State. Period. The rest are very balanced with no true favorite. Anyone can win. Again, CIF got what they wanted with a balanced division. The Inland Empire will play a big part with Cajon, Canyon Springs, Roosevelt, Yucaipa, Rancho Verde all players. The Pacific League with CV, Burroughs and Pasadena will also make some noise. You have CIF Champions in Rolling Hills Prep and Warren that will be looking to win again. LB Millikan is always tough and Orange County will be represented by Huntington Beach, Dana Hills and Orange Lutheran if Orangewood gets moved up. My pick......Orangewood moves up and Dana Hills with Maya Macarthur upsets.

: : : : : : : Any opinions?

: : : : : Very weak Division, weak Basketball. Division One has all the good teams and players.

: : : : Duh, whole reason for divisions, best teams at the top. Pretty lame commentary by a pretend expert, lol

: : : Therr are good players in this division. Just not a lot teams that recruit their rosters like its college ball. Mostly teams with local players. The way it should be.

: : There are several of the top D 2AA players if they transferred that would be one of the best players on any of those D1 teams, but chose to stay in there local school. As matter of fact, those players would be even better because they’re surrounded by more talent. As a whole D1 definitely has more impact players and overall stronger teams.

: I don't buy this logic/arguement: "several of the top D 2AA players-would be 1 of the BEST players on ANY of those D1 teams" If they are that great, they currently get all the shots at the 2AA level, coach calls plays for them, teammates jobs are to set screens for them and they still can't propel their team to D1 and the defense is much easier because other 2AA teams aren't that good. Could also add the arguement/logic that you are over valuing them because you don't know what "best" really looks like and them on a D1 team may not even start or get the ball or plays called for them because they don't really stand out anymore. Stronger case could be made for a mediocre D1 player that transfers to a 2AA school and becomes the best and wows parents.

Perhaps using one the word “best” instead of better players was a little bold, but a few would definitely be one of the better players on those D1 teams. Using your logic, those 2AA Star players would actually be better because like the defense, the D1 offenses are better with more players capable of carrying the scoring load. Teams couldn’t focus their whole D on one player like they do in 2AA. And no a mediocre player in D1 wouldn’t automatically be a star in 2AA. They’re mediocre for a reason. I’ll use Sierra Canyon and Harvard Westlake for example they’re D1 teams that the starting 5 are excellent however the drop is significant after that. Mater Dei on the other hand runs a good 8 deep with another 5 that are almost as good. Some of these 2AA players stayed local because of financial reason or perhaps the coach at their local school is well respected.
