A Great Coach at the HS level

must adapt and adjust their own coaching style and strategic preferences to the ability, passion, talent level of the players in the program. I believe this is especially true at the public schools where there is less or 0 recruiting vs the top notch private schools that have established year in and year out "Open" level credability.

Those unwilling to change as Coaches will often quit or get fired and wind up leaving the program in worst shape before they were hired. It's kind of easy to determine report cards for new Coaches:

*) Typical Record at the school before you arrived vs your tenure
*) How many varsity players transferred out during your tenure?
*) How many quality players transferred in?
*) How many incoming players that were in your boundary did not wind up playing for you?
*) What is the % of returning players at all levels of the program?
*) Did you do better or worse in league than the previous Coach?
*) Any tournament wins in the preseason vs prior?
*) Any playoff appearances vs prior?
