: : : : Looking for honest opinion

: : : EOT hands down.

: : : Better teams, more coaches.

: : : Most importantly - A/C.

: : : Momentous is an oven in the summer and an ice box in the winter. LOL

: : Just curious and not trying to stir anything up but was Storm D1 certified this year? I know that was an issue in the past.

: : EOT was better than last year in many ways including more teams/better competition and more college coaches.

: : But there were a few important ways in which EOT took a step back and I hope they will look at these areas next year.

: : 1. The college coach seating was expanded due to increased coach attendance but that meant parents and benches shared one sideline and it got very crowded.

: : 2. The referees sucked. Seriously, they were an embarrassment, even for an event that was co-hosted by Swoosh. For part of Saturday there were 3 trainee refs per game which helped but the rest of the games were terrible, with referees casually walking the floors and not in the correct position to make calls.

: : 3. The AC was turned off in the evenings, probably around 8 pm. Then the refs were dogging it even more than they did the rest of the time.

: : And this year they started charging for parking whereas last year it was free. Oh well, nothing good lasts forever.

: Storm had about 20 college coaches, bout 80% were from D1 programs. Taurasi finished 2nd National EYBL circuit so they were mostly following their games.

: Parking fee was $10 and $15 at the door. I wished WCP and Storm can make it work so that they can co-host the event in one venue. Yes it was freekin hot at Momentous, I don't know why they can't turn the a/c on with the money they charge you.

: My daughter's Team got to play Taurasi, so although we lost by double digits our girls got the viewing we came for. Overall, I will give it a C+ but they need to do something with the a/c, it's borderline a health issue to these girls.

It wasn't that the air was turned off at Momentous. There is no air/heat there except in the little overpriced food area.

Really just should not have tourneys there. It wasn't like they needed all the courts; not as many teams as in years past.
