: : : : : : Who were the best Frosh, Soph, Jr, and Senior in Socal regardless of Division?

: : : : : Letís finally answer the OP question. Itís amazing how a simple question always garners controversial responses.

: : : : : Freshman - Demetre, Pepe (MD) Irafen (HW), Stokes (Redondo)
: : : : : Sophomore - Dejesus, Chevalier (Sierra Canyon), Willliams (Windward), Maxey (RHP)
: : : : : Junior - Osborne, Corona (Windward), Tucker (Serra), Padilla (Bishop Montgomery), Turner (Etiwanda), Crocker (MD)
: : : : : Senior - Payne (Sierra Canyon), Aquino ( Ribet)

: : : :
: : : : Why is your list all Open and D1 players. Do you have to be in those divisions to be considered as one of the best???

: : : I believe most players on the above list would do well in any division. I agree 100% with the list. But who are the diamond in the rough that played in lower levels but would also make some noise in D1/Open? For example I seen Canyon Country's Bowers play for the first time and my opinion...she would do really well in an Open team. WHO ELSE???

: : Bowers is a good addition to that list. Ally Maxey and Calli Stokes are not open or D1 players. Rolling Hills Prep is D4, was d5 last year and Redondo is D2.

: Rolling Hills Prep has a few players who are playing at division 4 in high school but could easily be a part of a D1 team. Their freshman big should transfer to play better competition.

Redondo's been D1 for the past 3-4 years. CIF moved them to D2 this year and now they are 1 game away from winning it all (CIF-SS, Regional and State). Should have kept them at D1 cuz that's what they are.
