: : : : : : : : : Who were the best Frosh, Soph, Jr, and Senior in Socal regardless of Division?

: : : : : : : : : You first Dad, sounds like your daughter plays below D1, lol

: : : : : : : So how does a player below D1 getting recognition impact your daughter? There are a plethora of players that decided go to schools that are D2 or lower that are great players and play on excellent club teams. If your daughter is that good you wouldn't feel the need to belittle other players because they don't play on those stacked recruited teams.

: : : : :
: : : : : They are recruited because they are the best.

: : : : Wow I didn't know that. Only the best are recruited. Guess I need to have my daughter change schools now because those letters from those D1 and D2 schools accidently went to her when they should have gone to your daughter at that D1 private school. Damn it I knew my daughter wasn't good!

: : :
: : : : Level of competition at Open and Div 1 isn't the same as lower divisions. Otherwise there will be just one division (-:

: : : Just like games over the weekend where Open and Division 1 played at The Pyramid while the lower divisions played at home school sites. Why do you think that is?

: : :: It's hard for parents whose daughter shine at Park N Rec league level competitions that it's not Open or D1 level competitions. They somehow convinced themselves that their daughter is at the same level as Osborne, lol

:
: How does every thread on this board just turn into hate?

: All the OP asked was who people thought were the top players in each division. Whatever his/her motivation, it is a simple question.

: Many people know the top players in Open/D1, but beyond that, the names might not be familiar.

: Seems like it was all about celebrating some good performances.

I can tell you from experience that I think it is better to be a superstar in D2 or D3 than the 4th option on an open division team. After all, if you are good enough, you will play on a good club team and get amazing competition over the summer. My daughter was a star in a lower division, which got her noticed and on a top club team, which netted her multiple offers. If she would have gone to an open school, she likely would have been the 4th or 5th option (or worse) and not had a chance to prove herself. Every kid has their own path and there are no "right" ones. Work hard, be coachable, and hope for a chance to showcase yourself and maybe even a little luck.
