: : : Which girls have had the best season in each division of CIF? I know there are a lot of divisions to choose from. Lets rank them.

: : Windward and West Torrance are my choices for having the best season. They both played the best competition around and showed that they are the best teams in the Open Division and Division 1. Just look at the teams they played to get to the win a championship. Those two teams earned their championship.

: : All of the other divisions were decided the second the divisions were unveiled. No surprises at all. It is so sad that CIF has to ruin basketball this way. All of the lower division finals with the exception of Division 4A was horrible, junior varsity level basketball. Even in Division 4A, Foothill Tech blows a 7-point lead in under a minute because of horrible coaching and bad fundamentals. You wouldn't see West Torrance or Windward doing those kind of bonehead things in a game at all or any of the top teams in the Open Division and Division 1.

: : I watched a lot of the playoffs in the lower divisions and the quality of basketball was truly horrible. But hey the schools in the lower divisions won their participation championship, good for them. I hope the pizza party and all of the parents are happy that their little superstar won a trophy none of their parents ever won in their lives.

: : I can't wait to hear the pissing and moaning when the divisions are released next year and so of these teams will be in a division against some real competition and then the parents will cry about how it is not fair.

: CIF has decided to go the way of the Recreational Leagues and that's how most in Society want it now whether one likes it or not. In Rec Ball everyone is ranked on how they performed the previous year or season. The top teams are put in the top leagues and then the next best go into the next division and so on. Everyone gets a chance. It's like the Top League is the Professional Teams, the next teams are below that as the Top of the Minor League, the next division is below that one, etc. etc.

So which is it--a "rec league" structure or a professional league structure?
