: : : : : : : : Great first half play by Granada. But with the game on the line they couldn't find their shots. They run great college sets. But must condition a little better in the off season. Because they had no legs in the second half. Fairfax wins in a tough battle but good games for City. Thank goodness I was losing a lot if respect for their " championship games
: : : : : : : : I really thought Granada was going to take this, man was I wrong.
: : : : : : Give Fax some credit ! In the second half they brought some pressure in the full court and Granada couldn’t handle it. All in all great game from both sides
: : : : : If Granada played the same way in the second half as the first, they would have easily had them. Granada all around is a much better team. They just stopped sharing the ball. Great game to watch! Congrats to both teams!
: : : : We played both. Granada killed us, Fairfax was close After both, I thought Fairfax was stronger and would beat them. Granada peaks too early year
: : : Where are all of the Granada Hills fans at? It is too quiet on this thread. Oh that is because Granada Hills choked again in the finals. All of that talent and coaching and they can't win a championship. What does that tell you? That Granada Hills doesn't have what it takes to win a championship and it points to one person, the coach! Fairfax coach must be better because he won the championship in his first year. Now be careful. I am saying it was coaching. There will be someone to point out that Fairfax had the best kid on the court. Okay do we really want to make this about kids and talent?
: : ^ First time Granada made it to the finals. Not sure about the choking comment.
: It is what it is, maybe they celebrated early at halftime and lost focus. One thing is for sure, it will be a while before they can put together a team like the one they have now. Pretty much everyone will be graduating this year. Rebuilding takes time.
In the first half the big girl from Granada was disruptive on defense and cleaning the glass.
When she got in foul trouble, Lair pounced as there was no one to contest her penetration.
Slower pace in first half meant the better executing team was winning. Pace picked up in second half and the more athletic team took over. It was the blue print for both teams going in.
Congrats to both teams and good luck to them in the State playoffs.
Tough draw for Fairfax vs. Windward, very interesting game for Granada hosting Chaminade.
