: : : : : Head to head?
: : : : : Point differential?
: : : : : What if a 3 way tie where all teams either went 1-1 or 2-0/0-2 vs other teams?
: : : : Our league will do a 3 way coin flip, not to my liking but thatís what they voted for
: : :
: : : Our league awards point system based on who u beat
: : : 1 8 pts
: : : 2 7 pts
: : : 3 6 pts
: : : 4 5 pts
: : : 5 4 pt
: : : Etc
: : If there is a tie for 1st or 2nd, they usually send you to playoffs as T1 or T2. If you are tied for 3rd (in a 5 or 6 team league) they need to clarify who is 3rd and who is 4th, as 4th won't make the playoffs automatically.
: : How they determine that is league to league. I think most leagues do have that point system that the previous post mentioned, but they usually doesn't settle the tie. Some leagues will do a simple coin flip. Some leagues will have a play in game between the two teams that are tied for 3rd on Friday.
: : Hope that helps.
: Iíve heard that if the two teams are in different playoff divisions they can both go as a #1 or #2 as long as it does not exceed the maximum number of automatic playoff spots for the league.
It all depends on the league by laws. I have been in leagues where I had to sit through a three way coin toss to determine second through fourth. I have been in other leagues that send teams in as tied for first or whatever. Some leagues have a playoff. It just depends on the league bylaws.
