Since the Daily News no longer covers Girls Basketball, here is one look at a Top 10 in their coverage area.

Again, this is not official, but since they won't/don't do it, someone has to!

Many teams are done with non-league games and are on cruise control until the playoffs unless they have a big league game left. Mostly that is the Mission League teams and Granada Hills/ECR and Canyon/Valencia.

Week of Jan 29:

1. Harvard Westlake (18-4) - Nice win over Chaminade; easy week this week until Nade and Alemany next week.
2. Sierra Canyon (17-5)- Easy league games until rematch vs. Windward in league tourney in a couple weeks.
3. Chaminade (14-6) - At Alemany Thursday for second place in Mission League.
4. Canyon (20-4) - Easy games until rematch vs. Valencia next week for outright league title.
5. Granada (20-4) - Big win over ECR moves them up. Cruising until rematch next week for West Valley League title and higher seed in City Playoffs.
6. Alemany (14-7) - Loss to LBP should keep them in Div 1 for playoffs. Host Chaminade on Thursday.
7. El Camino (17-8) - drops after loss at Granada. Will they be ready to step up for rematch next week?
8. Valencia (13-10) - Loss at home to Canyon doesn't bode well for sharing league title - needs win at Canyon next week.
9. La Canada (18-4) - Just working through weak league getting ready for playoffs.
10. Village Christian (17-6) - Getting healthy against weak league opponents before playoff run begins.

Note: Ribet and Camarillo are not in Daily News coverage area and not considered for this list.
