: : : Going to be moving to the Yorba Linda school district in June from San Jose.
: : : Daughter was going to play at Mitty, but making the move for work reasons.

: : : I don’t know anything about HS basketball in the area, outside of the “big “ name schools but I looked on MaxPreps and saw that they’ve won like 2 games a year.

: : : Is it a bad program, bad coach? I’d like to keep her in the district but she’s brand new and maybe there are better places that have both higher level basketball and good academics.

: : : Thanks for any info.

: : Yorba Linda also has two other schools - El Dorado and Esperanza. Esperanza has been in the top ten in the county for the last 2 years or so. El Dorado has a good coach, great program. Definitely changing the culture over there. If your kid is good enough to play for Mitty then I assume all of the Catholic school's in the area are going to be going after her - Mater Dei (santa ana) Orange Lutheran (Orange) and Rosary (Fullerton) Brea just lost their long time legend of a coach, but they have always been pretty good. If your kid is smart, she can also go to Troy (Fullerton). They have an excellent Troy Tech Program!

: Nice bluff post on moving! Is your girl 6 foot 5 too?
Every year we get the “moving” post. Not biting.
