: : : : Just wondering

: : : : Um, is this a trick question? Whos asking this? Is the person asking this question new to girls high school basketball? The answer to this question is that there are so many more exceptional teams in the sourthen section than the city section, plain and simple. Not to knock the city section, but the city normally has one to two teams that can play against some of the better southern section teams. And I mean play, not beat the better southern section teams.

: : There are some great city players and even some really good city teams, but because city has nothing to "offer" like free tuition to a private school, a lot of the good players get recruited by these private schools in the SS, leaving only a few great players here and there in the city. Lets be honest the only SS teams this board talks or cares about are the private schools. These SS teams are stacked with great players by heavy recruiting. It is a shame the city teams that can compete don't get more respect.

: : When was the last time a city team won State? Enough said.

city school don't get respect becasue private schools steal all the good players. Also the last 10 years with all the new schools that open. a lot of school became watered down. school like crenshaw don't even have more the 1,200 students. most school that are not charter have between 1,500-2,200 students. charter school have usually around 500-1000 student. southern section schools flooded with student 2,000 -4,000
