: : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : GH came back after being down at Halftime to beat Ribet by 5. Yes, Ribet had their whole team plus a guard from Bell Jeff.

: : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : :It must be the coach why they lost, because they are all Elite.

: : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : Calm down!! Its still fall league. Try and win your league outright for a change and then you can talk. Even better, try to win the City Section and then you can talk. Until then...just be quiet. Please!

: : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : Ribet didn't have their starting point guard and she makes a difference. It's amazing how everyone is so against Ribet.

: : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : Always excuses. "they lost because they were missing this or that" how 'bout they just got outplayed. GH locked down the 6'9" girl, Ribet lots of turnovers. GH out ran them, RIbet girls was tired and got frustrated and they made more turnovers. Every time this team loses, it is excuses. THey'll be great for their league, that is why they are 2A.

: : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : I'm not making an just correcting the earlier post that said they had their whole team....there starting point guard played well in tbe previous games i eas able to watch so again, just correcting an esrlier post. i wasn't there and they must have got outplayed....they have talent but clearly don't have things together.

: : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : It all comes down to coaching. You can have all the talent in the world and if you can coach you’re not going to win. The team looks disorganized, they need to stay in 2A.

: : : : : : : : : : : : : : : I definitly agree that coaching has to be on point for a team to be succesful! It will be interesting to see how Ribet makes out this season.

: : : : : : : : : : : : : : :It's Fall League, why are you guys hatting too much on Ribet, must be jealous that we got Elite talents and clearly belong in Open Div.

: : : : : : : : : : : : : : It is an upset due to coaching but even Sierra Canyon lost to a much weaker El Rancho team earlier today. How about that? That does mean Sierra is not an Open team also?

: : : : : : : : : : : : : Ribet has the 7th best player in the nation! And she is 6'8ish! No excuses to lost to a city team

: : : : : : : : : : : : Ribet needs a whole new coaching staff, there is so much talent at Ribet but they have no direction, you have top players that play nationally and they look so lost. Coaches arguing with each other then sitting on the bench looking lost. You better come up with a plan quick before your season starts.

: : : : : : : : : : : :The more I get to watch their big the more I realize she's no where near talent wise from previous SS bigs. The likes of Higgins, Jones, Aubrey Knight, Odom and even Samuelson. She's just big but soft and limited footwork. Sorry but that's just the way I see it.

: : : : : : : : : : no shame in losing to GH. They are the city favorite and have had the city's best coach for years. Will take any team and make them solid.

: : : : : : : : : Yes, as well as some solid players.

: : : : : : : : The LA City's best coach? How is that possible? Granada Hills hasn't won an Open Division or a section championship above Division 2. Quit smoking whatever you are smoking. Besides it is fall league the only people that care about a fall league win are the loudmouth parents that are living through their kids.

: : : : : : : It sounds like if you want to beat a "top" team in the area.. schedule Ribet.

: : : : : : No disrespect to current players at Granada but they have no superstars aka D1 recruits. Also, 75% of their team comes from the lower levels (JV, FS). So, if you think about it. Granada has a bunch of players that work their butts every year and the coaches from top to bottom in the program work to develop them. So, when a team with a bunch of D1 players and transfers from literally all over the world loses to them. You shouldn't have an excuse.

: : : : : Lancaster lost to Ribet - if you were looking at the scoreboard only the girls working the scoreboard had home and guest flipped...

: : : : The reality is that Ribet does have elite level talent with a park and rec level coach. I could understand if they had no guards to get the bigs the ball, but they are loaded there too. It looks like the coaches have no clue and are just in way over their heads.

: : : Elite players will adjust with a mediocre coach, at the level of competition against GH they should figure out how to come out with a W. The fact is that they have couple of bigs, that's it. They are no elite bigs like previous SS bigs like someone had pointed out on this post. And they have no guards play. All you Ribet parents can post all you want how your kids are all Elite but they are not. They've been exposed these last couple of weekends. Just the fact.

: : You are absolutely Wrong! They have the second tallest female basketball player...IN THE NATION..who can dribble and shoot! That is ELITE!!...along with a whole group of 6'3 studs and a ball handling point guard. They will never lose to an average to solid team no matter if your blind grandma is coaching them. But they will lose to good teams that they easily outman and all of the elite teams because of their lack of coaching. They should be a top 10 team in the State with their talent and height..but not with their coaching.

: :If your definition of Elite teams is GH and Lynwood they you must be new to California Souther Section. Maybe one of the transfer parents. Sorry to tell you but if you can't beat those 2 teams there's is no way your Ribet will be ranked in the top 10. Or even make it in the Open which is a minimal requirements to be considered in the state top ten.

: You should have done your homework before venturing out in the west. SS is one of the toughest sections in the Nation. Plenty of these "True Elite" programs could have provided well better accommodations to what needs your family and daughter was in need to guidance on. And of course better coach (-: It is what it is, sorry

I hardly think what happens this season will have any impact on the 6-9" girl. She will sign on Wednesday with Oregon State, a rising program with a great young coach that will develop her at the next level. Or maybe that will happen at USC, depending if you believe the conspiracy theories.

Hard for her to develop at HS level when she is usually almost a foot taller than everyone she plays against, regardless of what school she went to.

I talked to her a couple weeks ago between games and she seems like a very nice young lady. If you want to bash coaches, that is fine, they are adults. Leave the kids alone.
