: : : She's not on the USC team or any top West Coast JC rosters like Mt. Sac or Vanguard. Is she repeating a year in high school? In Europe? Southern JC?
: : : Clark is a legit basketball talent and one of my favorite players in the nation last year. I understand she began taking her studies seriously in the past few years so I'm rooting for her. Although I would love to see her at USC, I hope she can put everything together for a great collegiate career and pro career.
: : She is sitting at home eating doritos and drinking soda. I don't know what you mean by taking her studies seriously since she barely graduated with a 2.0 if even that. The administration at Poly should have sat her because of her grades but winning basketball games were more important than her performance in the classroom. Too bad...I am sure she will turn up somewhere she is too "talented" not to. I mean when was the last time a McDonald's All American didn't goto a Division 1 college or let alone college at all?
: :: Will most likely do better than a lot of D1 "scholar" athletes - because of her talent. Last I heard WNBA players were making $40K a year?
40K is not bad for four months of work. The money overseas is predicated on your success in the WNBA. The bigger the name, the more money and clout. But she has to qualify and she has to either graduate from college or be over 21.
There are lots of Burger girls who go the JC route, the most successful that I can think of was Danielle Adams, who is actually a very similar player to Clark.
At the end, I agree, she had four years to straighten her studies out, and also had a ton of people trying to help her. If she graduated with "barely" a 2.0, it's a solid improvement from her earlier reports.
