: : : : : : : : : :
: : : : : : : : : : Please post schedule for this weekend, thanks!

: : : : : : : : : There are some school events so most of the games aren't at Burroughs this weekend.

: : : : : : : : : @ BURROUGHS HIGH SCHOOL
: : : : : : : : : Small Gym
: : : : : : : : : 11:30am Schurr vs. Beverly Hills
: : : : : : : : : 12:30pm Schurr JV vs. Saugus JV

: : : : : : : : : @ GLENDALE COMMUNITY COLLEGE
: : : : : : : : : (1500 N. Verdugo, Glendale 91208)
: : : : : : : : : 10am El Rancho vs. Glendale
: : : : : : : : : 11am El Rancho vs. Sierra Canyon
: : : : : : : : : 12pm Beast Pink vs. Glendale
: : : : : : : : : 1pm Beast Black vs. Harvard Westlake
: : : : : : : : : 2pm West Coast Dream vs. Waves
: : : : : : : : : 3pm Canyon vs. Poly
: : : : : : : : : 4pm Alemany vs. Burroughs
: : : : : : : : : 5pm Alhambra vs. Canyon
: : : : : : : : : 6pm Waves vs. Beast White

: : : : : : : : : @ PROVIDENCE HIGH SCHOOL
: : : : : : : : : 511 S. Buena Vista St., Burbank 91505
: : : : : : : : : 3pm Heritage Christian vs. Notre Dame
: : : : : : : : : 4pm Heritage Christian vs. Royal

: : : : : : :
: : : : : : : : The two games of interest to the masses here are Sierra Canyon vs. El Rancho and Granada Hills vs. Harvard Westlake.

: : : : : : : : Depending on who actually plays for these teams, I'll go with Sierra Canyon and Harvard Westlake.

: : : : : : : : Sierra should win just because they have better palyers.

: : : : : : : : Interested to see if Granada can handle Harvard Westlake's press and pressure in the half court.

: : : : : : : : That Canyon vs. Alhambra game could get real ugly. Canyon has the dominant big girl in SFV/SCV and other height while Alhambra is tiny.

: : : : : : : : And kudos to Heritage Christian for playing teams from higher divisions, especially when 90% of your offense and rebounding graduated. You don't get better without playing better teams. That's what fall league is for.

: : : : : : : Anybody see the games yesterday? How did it go?

: : : : : : : Anyone has the results? Please post scores. Thanks

: : : : : I hear hardvard westlake won by 2 over granada hills

: : : : :GH would have won it if not for that odd substitution towards the end, but I guess it was fall league so GH coach was spreading the playing time to everyone. HW struggle even with the twins in the game. They were playing to win.

: : :
: : : HW won 28-24.

: : : How do two good teams like that have such a low scoring game when all your players are there?

: :
: : HW was full squad, GH was down 2 starters. As for as low score, defense was strong both ends. Sierra easily won, seems they were missing some starters. Easy win for Alemany also.

: : Wow! HW struggled against GH that was down 2 starters. Same team that at full squad lost by 27 points to an all freshmen travel team??!!!? I don't get this, they were Open Division CIF finalist last season, what gives?????

HW will be fine. Graduated a couple solid if not great seniors and are trying to work in multiple solid-will-be-very-good frosh.

I have complete confidence come November they will be the same HW we see every year.
