CIF moved teams this year by making a "sliding scale" for teams. They conveniently moved the criteria by 25 students so Mater Dei would fall into 3AA and miss Brea. Nowhere in the bluebook does it say they have a right to do this. Criteria for Divisions should be the same for a period of years. For example, last year Division 2A was 2274-2450. Mater Dei was at 2294. This year CIF moved it to 2294-2464 which put Mater Dei in 3AA. There was ABSOLUTLEY NO REASON FOR THEM TO CHANGE LAST YEARS SLIDING SCALE. It was to keep Brea and Mater Dei apart. If each year CIF can make their own "scale" then the point system and enrollment is all for nothing. They can manipulate the system to put teams where they want. RIDCULOUS.
