: : : : : : See ESPN HOOPGURLZ.
: : : : : There are a couple of things that bother me with this situation...
: : : : : 1)Why go on an unofficial visit after you have already committed?

: : : : : 2) ASU probabaly called several recruits and withdrew their offer once Cassie committed. Now players that really wanted to go to ASU did not get the opportunity.

: : : : : 3) As a new coach (Cooper), he is already going to have issues by going after a player already committed to another school, Thorne is a highly respected coach with class!

: : : : : I fully understand it was only a verbal, nothing in writing, but your WORD needs to be worth something, two commitments and two decommits in a few months, maybe ASU is better off.

: : : : : That stuff happens all the time. Nothing is official until that letter is signed.Just because a player VERBALS to a school means absolutely nothing until that player actually signs. Other schools don't stop recruiting because a player VERBALS.

: : : It is only HER word. Obviously she lacks commitment and integrity. Didn't she commit to USC originally only to decommit, recommit to ASU, decommit from ASU and recommit to ASU. Hope everything goes perfect for her or we will probably see the transfer papers being processed.

: : She never recommitted to ASU, she verballed to ASU, then decommitted. She decommitted from USC when the coach who recruited her was fired and the incoming coach was forbidden to speak to her.
: : It was smart for any player to reopen their recruiting in that situation. If she was indeed pressured into making the ASU commit, then shame on those involved. The USC decision sounds like the only one she really wants.

: : Wish her well and move on.

:
: Any chance she will take a vist to Ucon and deverbal from USC...still time.

Congrats to Cassie! I am amazed at how many adults can pick on any of these young girls, shame on you! We should be happy for them for all their hard work and dedication. Yes, your WORD does mean something. So does that mean none of you ever changed your mind?? By some of your post I'm not sure I would give you much credit on your character. Give the girl credit for standing up to the people that she cared about and doing what she felt was right. It is just too bad she didn't do it before she verbaled to ASU. I feel bad for all that were involved, but it isn't the end of the world. I look forward to following all these girls in college and wish each and everyone of them the best. Good Luck Cassie and for those of you that have too much time on your hands get a life and move on!
