: : : :Or is it too early ?

: : Too early. If there was going to be transfers during the school year they would have already happened in March-ish; now we wait and see who shows up for summer ball. If club ball affiliation means anything, I expect there will be some movement.

: It is amazing to me how parents are so fooled by the lure of a college scholarship. These club programs and their social media barrage of player accomplishments is mind boggling. There is no sense of what is real anymore. Unless you are playing in a National Level Division at a viewing event it is unlikely that you will find any worthwhile competition if you are a college level player. IF you don't understand what I mean by that just follow the college coaches around at an NCAA approved viewing event. Attention 95% of the Orange County parents: following these coaches will not lead you to your son's court. Stop wasting your son's and your families time with club ball. Get in the weight room, get shots up, work on your skills. If you are not sure what to do, google it. Play with your high school team/program. Once you become a Varsity starter or significant role player it may make sense to play with a reputable club program. Attention parents: A Twitter feed and Social Media saavy does not make a program legit.

I agree with most of what you stated but being a club coach who does get kids into college I donít totally agree with. Problem is too many unqualified coaches misleading kids and parents but most of that has been stopped due to media. If a coach states he placed a kid or won a big tournament you can now check on him. Thatís why so many once large programs are now tiny. Second I agree with you that Orange County Basketball is bad. So what do you do? Go to the big out of state tournaments or go to Los Angeles to find good competition. Our program played in Thousand Oaks, Arizona and Nevada. Go where the talent is. Good luck
