: Whew.. seen all Marmonte teams play prior to SOP kids at this point.. I do have adjustments to an earlier post on this topic. Its going to be a two horse ugly league play season. I still see it:
: #1 Westlake - if their big plays "BIG" - Coach is good!
: #2 Calabasas - need more seasoning - Best Coach
: Its a toss up for the remainder. The rest are just bad. NP played soft teams and record is misleading, Coach came from Girls BB World and lost the best Assistant to promotion, TO has a couple players but no Coaching at all (whomever mentioned Avg 20 wins a year is not accurate. has not had a 20 winner since 14-15 season went 0-10 in league 17-18). OC is dis-functional and the abandon ship siren is sounding and being acting upon, would imagine Coach is on thin ice and the hook is close.

: Regardless of the recipients receiving playoff bids all will be "One and Done"! Marmonte is just not competitive any more with a migration of talent to better programs outside the area.

I agree that the best talent usually goes to play elsewhere. The main reason for this is what I wrote in my original post - aside from Calabasas, Marmonte League coaches are not good. The boys deserve better. Improve the quality of coaching, players will stay and the league will improve.
