: : : : : Man I saw this post and it brought me back to last year when the SuperFan was "spouting off" at the mouth and how fantastic the gorillas were blah blah blah blah blahhhhhh!!!!
: : : : : Prediction - you are going to write checks your team can't cash AGAIN and put unnecessary pressure on them. Just enjoy the journey it will be over before you know it.
: : : : : : Prediction - its early of course but the Oakwood Gorillas (D-4) are going to have their best season ever. Better than when MItchell Butler was playing there. Oakwood has depth and they have a good young coach. Best kept secret in the East Valley is Oakwood's Big man, Aiden Oliver, who is averaging 29-30 points per game. They actually could win their conference and the southern sectional and then if all goes well, the State. (Bold prediction i know) Good luck Gorillas!
: : : : Why do you (Time Warp) seem so consumed by what a fan of Oakwood's writes? People/fans post all kinds of messages on this site but for some reason, this one bothers you? (I know why) - 2 new players are on board this year and Oakwood has several outstanding freshman shooters. This team is much better than last years team. And also, what exactly do you mean by "putting pressure" on the team by posting an opinion? Wow. Chill out. Its a game played for fun. Opinions are just that, opinions.
: : : Billy Jean King once was quoted by saying this "Pressure is a Privilege" I agree. There is no "pressure" put on a basketball team because of what someones writes about them.
: : It may not be pressure per se, but Nick Saban would call the original post "rat poison" if it were about his team.
: Nick Saban? LOL - Rat Poisen? LOL Gorillas now 10-3 - looking good. They will play for tourney title on MOnday - love it!
Congrats on being in the championship of the Cheribundi Tart Cherry Division, some tough teams stood in your way to get there. That powerhouse Desert Christian/Middle of Nowhere and their big man who was as tall as he was wide never stood a chance. Made me forget about the 80s Oakwood teams, those trophies should be melted down and their banners used to insulate the bathrooms. Go ahead and unretire the jerseys too, with all the transfers coming, you may need 'em!
