: : : : : : : : : : With all this travel, so many questions ....

: : : : : : : : : : - How does this impact the academics for all these players in terms of missed class time, missed interaction with their instructors or continuity of instruction?

: : : : : : : : : : - What about equity with all the other athletic programs on campus - do the water polo or girls volleyball team members get all of these opportunities for exposure?

: : : : : : : : : : - How can CIF justify allowing a team playing over 1/3 of their games v non CIF competition to play for aCIF championship (regardless if it is the open division).

: : : : : : : : : : - Who is paying/sponsoring this program and how can CIF cast a blind eye to the question of “undue influence”?

: : : : : : : : : : For those of you who next will cry “What about Mater Dei?” When asked about his starting 5, Coach McKnight said, “One great thing about is that all 5 are near 4.0 students taking high level courses.”

: : : : : : : : : I'm sure having 2 nba players as dads and others in previous years a simple 20/50k is nothing for then to donate if they did need the money. And there other sports actually all do take trips and play at a high level.

: : : : : : : : Nothing to see here, nothing wrong going on. Please move along! And just remember to come to the CIF playoffs and pay our absurd prices for tickets to watch teams like this. Once again, nothing wrong going on.

: : : : : : : Personally, i think the whole thing is wrong and not cool. What price glory? Why is Sierra Canyon treated as some elite high school? What glory do they get out of winning? What is the point of playing them? Isnt this supposed to be High School basketball and the D League of the NBA? The exposure they get, the hype, the trips, the gear, all of it to me, is wrong. Its just wrong.

: : : : : : To stack a team in order to win in High School is just wrong. Sure, its been going on for ages, i know. It still doesnt make it right. I have more respect for the small local high school that plays kids who grew up in the neighborhood and who played park league - travel ball - JV - and then made it to varsity - those kids are the real deal. Not a bunch of spoiled brats of former NBA players. Who cares if they win? I dont.

: : : : : Haters will hate!

: : : : I have a question for Mr. Pathetic. Why is it that when someone gives their opinion on something, if you dont agree, you immediately say the post was from a "Hater"? I dont hate very many people. I try not to "Hate". I gave my opinion based on 35 years of coaching at various levels and observing what goes on. I have been speaking out for 20+ years about high schools that recruit and who place more importance on "winning" than putting together a comeptitive team comprised of local kids who earned the right to play varsity. I have watched schools bring in super players in order to win. Kids who dont live in the area. I think it bad for the sports - when you recruit or scheme to bring in super stars so you can win.

: : : Right, you don't try to acquire talented kids. You prefer kids that are not talented so you develop them. Hey, whatever helps you sleep at night.

: : : Sorry that your program is not the type that top kids are are looking for, but don't hate on coaches that are fortunate to land these kids. Maybe they have more to offer these kids.

: : : And where are those kids now who's academic are impacted due to scheduling, missed class time and interaction with their instructors? UCLA, Duke, Vanderbilt... enough said

: : Boom, right there. Observer, tell us where are your kids playing college ball at?

: Vast majority went on to college and graduated. MOst are working now and have families. You dont get it, do you. People like you never do.

I hope it's not Mater Dei crying now or maybe I hope it is. hahahaha
