: : : Thereís a coach in the city that is forcing his players to practice on the blacktop everyday. Iíve talked to numerous coaches and they all agree that players should not be going 100% when practicing outdoors. What is your opinion?
: : : Why canít they use the gym?
: : : He is too lazy to get a permit and doesnít care enough to stay in order to give his players gym time. Kids are complaining about knee issues and are scared to speak up.
: : : In addition, players are being told to get donations for the program... failure to get a donation results in zero to no playing time. Isnít this illegal?
: : : Itís a shame. No wonder his team is struggling. Heís losing respect of the players.
: : :: What a BS post from a bogus parent! You got a problem go to the coach! No action, go to the AD! Instead you hide behind a message board! No wonder this world is the way it is! You shouldn't talk about RESPECT, respect the process or transfer!
: We played outside all the time, didnít have as many ACL tears and if you are concerned about your knees stop over training your kid. If his knees are bothering him and he doesnít have an actual injury itís just a usage issue. Go to the trainer for preventative maintenance, if you have one. Sounds like you picked a small school that doesnít have more than one court like poster above said transfer, did you complain when your kid had pe outside for all of his school life? I assume he didnít go out to the blacktop at recess everyday because of his knees. Entitlement for all keep it up. Iím sure the coach would much rather be in a gym but itís not available or it may be available at a time he is not, coaches have families too.
If practicing outside is the worst thing that happens this season, you're going to have a really good year.. Get some perspective
