: : : : : What would be better competition? Playing the top level travel ball circuit or JBA? Travel Ball circuit certainly has more social media exposure and fans. JBA prob be out of business soon.
: : : : : It would be awesome to see Lamelo in the NBA at 18years old. The question has never been about his ability to score the ball. It's will he be able to defend?
: : : : :
: : : : : : Lamelo Ball has developed the necessary lead guard skills and is now a can't miss pro prospect. He needs to continue such development to become a super star. His shot selection and decision making is much much better. At this point though, It makes more sense that he put up 20 or 20 assists games in the JBA rather than 40 to 50 games.
: : : : : : The prior criticism of his shot selection and playmaking abilities were legitimate but kid deserves a lot of credit for improvement in those areas of his game. In fact, Lamelo is a better ball handler, shooter and finisher than Lonzo abd is passing is comparable.
: : : : I got some more crack for you crack baby.
: : : LaMelo will make the NBA. Too early to say if he's better than Zo; although LaMelo may be a better scorer, Lonzo is a glue guy on a team, whose effect on a team is best measured in Real (adjusted) Plus/Minus (basically the efficiency of his teammates with and without him, aka chemistry within a team). Some hate RPM, but it works for comparing players within a team, if not around the league.
: : So everyone thinks Melo is a “scorer”’huh? Wasn’t the same thing said about Gelo? And if the Lavar paid refs don’t give Melo 23 ft’s tonight he sure ain’t looking like a “scorer”. Melo is 0-16 from 3 point range in his last 2 games. Take away Melo’s 20 made ft’s tonight and he shot 35 fg’s to score 24 points. And N.Y. smacked him and his squad tonight. Lavar allowing him to do whatever he wants isn’t helping his game at all!!
: Daddy ball. And soon the crash came. Kaboom. Fireworks. Gone. Disappeared. Siranora. Asta la Vista.
LeBron he isn't, but remember LaMelo is essentially a HS senior heading into his final summer! He has two years to hone his skills before even being eligible for the draft. He will play this year in the JBL, once that league folds within a year he will go back overseas and play in a better league.
As for Gelo, Lavar admitted last year that the NBA probably wasn't in his future, but that didn't stop him from promoting his middle son like he was a draft pick...Lavar definitely is hard to get a read on sometimes
