: : : My son is 8 years old. im looking for a personal trainer in the inland empire.

: : 1. Go to youtube look up ball handling shooting drills
: : 2. Take son to park
: : 3. Dad and son time......he's 8!
:
: Exactly.
: Why spend the money? It's all a racket anyway.
: Push him yourself and have fun with it. If he falls in love with it, shows an acumen for it, and such, find a good coach on a good team who can teach him HOW to play. Anyone can teach someone how to dribble around cones and chairs and dribble a ball while catching a tennis ball.

I love your answer to this - ive coached park league for 30+ years and ive seen more personal basketball trainers than you could ever imagine. Most are in it for the money. There ARE some really good ones. (I know one) - He is the best. However, that said, for an 8 year old kid, Dad should save his money and work with his son at the park or in the backyard or in the driveway. Kids at age 8 dont need a personal trainer. They need someone to spend time with them having fun with basketball. Dont waste your money - the "trainers" will tell you anything that will get your money.
