: : : : : : : Rumors are that we will finally be able to take the school from down the street (Cypress). 10 Returners coming back and we Got some transfers coming in...I can't wait!
: : : : : : : KHigh4Life
: : : : : : They do not have 10 returners back. 4 of 5 starters were Seniors. They may have 10 guys back, but they did not play. They have good lower level kids, but they are a year away. They are not beating Cypress any time soon..any time.
: : : : : Uh, Cyp Fan.....Kennedy does have ten returning varsity players, and only two seniors started this year. The other two didn't play very much. They will be competitive next year. The Empire league in general will be a dog fight next year.
: : : : Crean, Cypress, and Tustin will be top 3 regardless. Hope Kennedy gets to .500, because they won't be top 3 in League. Not beating us. Valencia will be tough as always, but is a little down. Kennedy will battle for 4th or 5th. Pacifica is bad. They will be last. Heard they lost to Oxford Academy this weekend. Cypress does not lose to Ox..ever.
: : : Wow!!!! Maybe Cypress just needs to move to a league that's up to their level? How about moving to the Trinity league Cypress? You guys already play under the same rules. Then if you win you can truly say that your special.
: : I am at a lot of AAU tournaments, and I don't see the Cypress staff trying to talk with parents about their program and recruit kids or offer uber cards to the families to get them to make the drive like the private schools.
: : Any kid that goes to Cypress is choosing the coach and school. Haven't heard of Cypress producing any NBA prospects or high D-1 like the Trinity league. A lot of the transfers now come from with kids and their travel ball team. They see what happens in the NBA, and it's the same thing. Well, I like playing with Player A, so I will transfer and play where my friend (Player A) does and it's easier to be good that way.
: : Transfer are a part of the high school basketball just like Cell phones and elementary school aged children. Not everyone has them, but a majority of them do. It all depends on how the parents want to raise their children. Doesn't necessarily mean its bad or good. Just Life.
: : Good Luck to all!!!
: : Transfers are a part of high school sports, make the adjustment.
: Well put. Nice analogy.
: If you live in the Anaheim School District and you want your son to play on a good basketball team what school would you pick? Anaheim, Magnolia, Savanna, Western, Katella, Loara, Oxford? Coach Mitchell runs a good solid program with open enrollment why would you go to any other school but Cypress>
