: Typical all star game for the most part, though the north showed the difference between the two parts of the county by playing much better on ball defense. Kyman was guarded by Dashiell, who took his lunch money pretty much every possession. I hope for Kyman's sake that he gets used to playing tough guy basketball immediately or else he won't fit in with Cronin.
: First time I got to see Dasca play, was surprised with his skill level. Too bad he was stuck at Costa Mesa. I feel like Tello from Cypress forgot he had teammates, but it was entertaining. Overall a fun night for honoring the players and watching the JC coaches pounce.
Too much athleticism from the North. Marina kid, La Habra Pg, and Cypress kids looked next level. Kyman was frustrated by the physical play. Makes me wonder how that didn't happen more in CiF? The South didn't have any playmakers, more of spot up shooters who need plays run for them.
Overheard some coaches in crowd saying the South has been down for the past two to three years because the best players transfer to Private schools if they are any good.
Must be frustrating to have that happen if you believe you could be good one year and then your best players transfer.
