: : : : : Did Sierra Canyon play a road game in the play offs? either C.I.F or State?

: : : : : It didn't appear as if they did.

: : : : : Is that possible not to play a road game in the playoffs, and is it true they are playing MD next Tuesday at HOME AGAIN?

: : : : In the State tournament, the higher seed always plays at home (or is the home team if the game is at an alternate site). In the CIF-SS Tournament, the Open was the only bracket that also followed the State tournament mode of allowing the higher seed to play at home. Sierra Cyn was the #2 seed, and in their half of the bracket, all of the teams they faced were lower seeds.

: : : : BTW, in all the other CIF Sections in the state, all of the higher seeded teams are the host team in every round. CIF-SS is the only Section that alternates, or uses the coin toss if both teams have played the same number of home games.

: : : Correct the higher team now is always home team. The SC/MD game in which SC is the home team is scheduled to be played at Simi Valley instead of SC's gym. This is probably in anticipation of a lareger crowd than SC gym can hold.

: : The state tournament has always given home court to the highest seed which is fine but this year they are not holding the regional finals at a neutral arena, like the Pyramid, or Ontario etc, which seems to diminish the significance of the game.

: The Simi Valley site is an "Alternate Site" as that term is define in the Blue Book. It is not a "neutral" site. Sierra Canyon is still the "home" and "host" team. An "alternate site" is one selected by the home team, and is is one where the host cannot have held a practice at any time. So it's kinda like a neutral site, but not quite the same thing.

: Agreed that not hosting the regional finals at a neutral arena seems to somewhat diminish the game's importance, but the reality is that it's a game that's not really going to attract more fans than a large high school gym can accommodate, so renting out an arena like Pauley, or the Galen, Pyramid, etc., would really be a waste of money.
Thank you all for the comments, I remember especially the C.I.F. playoffs in the past the higher seed would get a first round home game then go on the road for the second game, or have a coin flip if both high seeds won. Then they would alternate home and away.
Now this year with the pool play, Mater Dei played ALL 3 games on the road, and then the first round of the State on the ROAD against Bishop Montgomery, their ONLY home game was Saturday night against Corona Centennial
