: : : : Word out of Sierra Canyon is that Bronny James will be enrolling and to make room SC screwed some 8th graders that were there & thought that they were coming in to play guard. Coach Dre is giving Bronny James the starting pg spot for 3 years after he comes off of the bench in year 1. If Scottie Pippen JR gets hurt or out at any point during the season then it's Bronny's team.
: : : : Bronny can ball. There's no denying that. But it does feel like Sierra Canyon is chasing names because there's a few other kids that they're after who's relatives are former NBA or NFL guys.
: : : : What do you guys think?
: : : Wouldn't surprise me if he eventually ends up there like so many former NBA players kids.
: : : My understanding is that LeBron's oldest son will only be entering 8th grade this coming year?
: : : The current 8th graders over there need to understand that if it isn't BJ then some other big name kids will eventually transfer in. That's the way SC, MD and these other open schools roll.
: : Shoutout to basketball in Southern California. Name over game. Lol
: If you were a coach at a top high school for basketball and could recruit with no restrictions the question is....why wouldnt you? Also, if you were a parent and you were going to send your kid to one of these recruiting powerhouses you absolutely have to be ready for your kid to get passed over if a kid with more talent comes along. Its survival of the fittest/strongest in its simplest form. I think another question that needs to be asked is this: is Sierra Canyon taking over the spot from Mater Dei as Californias top basketball destination?
Sierra Canyon is better to watch than Mater Dei but SC is a rich people with an athletic kid destination. Bishop Montgomery is the school. Local talent, great coaching & the players have to earn spots & playing time.
Andrew Austin is going to Sierra Canyon. That's not a bad wing off of the bench. But the style of play is going to be super ugly.
