I challenge you to find a coach better prepared then Coach Kegley at Westlake. It is easy to be a critic from the stands. He has established a winning culture and demands his players (who this year were very average other then PG and injured MacLean) respect the game and play as a team.

: Marmonte League played out as predicted - Calabasas dominated, going 7-1 (lost to Thousand Oaks, which they avenged by beating them easily in the rematch). TO was surprising though, good group of seniors, going 5-3 for second place. Oaks Christian underachieved at 4-4 (coaching?) and Newbury Park and Westlake were weak, both going 2-6.

: Season end Picks:

: MVP - Max Cheylov (CHS), best player on best team, strongest guard in league

: First Team:

: Matt Solomon (NP), top scorer, not much help from teammates this year
: Hunter Thorne (TO), always steady, good team leader
: Ramel Lloyd (CHS), best freshman in league, huge potential (will he stay?)
: Evan McKay (CHS), reliable scorer and steady defender
: Bryce Howard (Westlake), good distributing PG, had few scorers to get the ball to

: Second Team:

: Hersy Miller (Oaks)
: Jordan Berens (Oaks)
: Daelen Benioff (TO)
: Bryce Kilkenny (Westlake)
: Justin Stanziano (TO)

: Next season will be interesting - will Calabasas keep all its young talent, or will they fly off to other schools? Can TO restock their talent (lot of graduating seniors)? Can Oaks Christian rebound from a disappointing season? Will Oaks or Westlake replace their coaches? Is there any hope for NP?
