: : : : You want to avoid another Paul George scenario
: : : One problem is, Orlando wouldn't trade Vucevic for KCP and Wagner, as the Magic are 7th in the Eastern Conference and apparently up-and-coming. They have a rotation of Isaac, Ross, Fournier, and Augustin at the 1-3. KCP wouldn't fit with that and Bamba isn't ready to play 30 minutes a game.
: : : Also, KCP would have to agree to the trade, which he wouldn't (players playing on one year deals after their initial rookie contract ends have an automatic NTC), as he knows the Lakers need him more than Orlando. KCP needs to showcase himself as he too is in a contract year.
: : : Now, if the Lakers should offer Ingram, the Magic do it, except the salaries wouldn't match. Ball plus Svi and/or Wagner might work, I didn't check.
: Coach J, you called Fox over Ball last year and were 100% correct. Lonzo will never be better or even equal to Shaun Livingston and has no business starting in this league. All those who said to trade him while he had value were right.
: The Spurs named Ball and Deng as two deal-killers when Kawhi was being traded, and how does Lonzo respond to that? By stinking up the gym in both losses @ the Spurs. The Lakers young players don't have it, LeBron will ask for a trade this offseason, and the Lakers just need to tank and rebuild. Ingram can't fit with LeBron. Hopefully the Buss family sells the team to AEG and they hire Sam Hinkie to start a process.
You are nuts. The Lakers are 5th in West and only 1.5 games out of first (not that they will end up there).
If they can swing a trade for Ariza, that helps them sooooo much.
I'm sure some of the young core are going to move, probably Ball and/or Ingram. They will try to keep Kuzma and Hart.
And LeBron isn't going anywhere, especially after one season.
