: : : : Nothing "Christian" about Oaks when it comes to athletics, and boys basketball specifically. They have had 6-7 coaches in the last 10 years and once DADDY DONOR isn't happy its chopping block time! This school is still a mystery when it comes to athletics. I know they do a lot of good outside of athletics but the take on them is that they fire quality coaches and succumb to outside influences.....case(s) in point:

: : : : 1) Louring Beinkert over then dismissing his resume and telling him who's on his staff and things will be changing.

: : : : 2) Andrea Chevalier - fired because daddy donor didn't like things

: : : : 3) Plummer - fired for the all the right reasons but school kept it under the rug.

: : : : 4) Baseball coach - fired because he wouldn't listen to the admin and get ready of a few asst. coaches.

: : : : 5) Roanhause / Moyal (Sp?)and like 4 other boys basketballcoaches who were never given any explanation on why they were being let go.

: : : : If you are a coach or a player this is not the school to attend or work for in regards to boys hoops.

: : : What i find amusing - kind of - is the fact that ever since i can remember - this school - Oaks Christian - has always been heavily criticized for the same things - over and over again. (Rich parents dictating who plays and who doesnt) - Ive seen the campus - its beautiful. The first time i saw the campus i thought it was a luxury hotel. My question is why isnt the school doing better in basketball? Is it true that rich parents dictate who does what?

: : It happens at most places. True character of people comes out when adversity comes (merit over politics). Most in life are sell outs. Flash some cash and you got them. Also, most are really wolves in sheep's clothing. Vanity

: You are 100% correct - it DOES happen everywhere - perhaps more at Oaks C - i dont know - but - yeah - wealthy affluent parents seem to get what they want at these smaller private schools. I guess money talks -

It 110% doesnt happen everywhere. I can name schools that arent corrupt. You just wont send your child there because they might not win 25 games, they may only win 20.
