Surprises
Elsinore-18-0, expected to have another good season but an undefeated regular season is a rarity and the hardest part of their schedule is past them.
Tahquitz- 10-4, not many games but a big improvement from the cellar.
King, 17-7- after a few down years look like they are returning to the upper echelon of Riverside basketball.
Disappointed
Poly, 7-12-Huge drop off, from one of the elite teams in the greater Riverside area with high expectations for another high division playoff run and possibly a shot for a league title. Reality they are middle of the pack in the area and have a lot of work to do just to qualify for playoffs and might end with just an 8 or 9 win season.
Norte Vista, 7-12- expectations to build off last years success and have a 25+ win season, cakewalk to an undefeated league championship, and deep another playoff run but now would be happy with 15 wins and splitting league title.
JW North, 3-16- Expected another solid season and change to win league but Started 0-15 and looked like all wheels had fallen off. Might still be able to scrape way into 3rd for a playoff chance .
Norco, 5-19- Not high expectations but the program had gotten back to battling for 3rd last few years in league but now looking like back to winless non competitive games.
