: : : : : : Howdy

: : : : : : Love the new type - been a fan of socal hoops for years - ok - heres my question. Are there 6 divisions in CIF boys HS basketball? I think there is. Does anyone have a clue what team(s) are the best (strongest) in Division VI? Its small school division - etc. Thanks

: : : : : All info is on the CIF website www.cifss.org

: : : : 5A is the lowest of nine divisions. Nine not counting the Open division.

: : : : Ribet Academy will beat de Toledo in the 5A finals.

: : : Ribet wont be in that division once it is updated. They were given 0 points for last season on the initial placement.

: : They didn't play a full schedule last season, not sure if they even won a game. They may still be in 5A when all is said and done.

: Nope not a chance, its not about the amount of games, its only about points you get per game and their schedule earned them plenty of points. THey will probably end up in D3a or D4aa

Don't know what the split with the Aussie team earned them, but based off their 11 games vs CIF competition, they earned a total of 60 points. 60/11= 5.45, so 6.74 would be their point profile, placing them in 4A. The games against Scotch Academy may push them to 4AA.
