: : : : : please, please, do something with him before it's too late
: : : : I agree with you.
: : : Pulled Lonzo after 30 seconds into 4th Qtr and didn't play him anymore. Yeah he's lost under this coach who feels he needs to micromanage Zo's game. Luke Walton is piss poor and still holding grudges for Zo's comments about his coaching. Anyone other than a moron could see this.
: : Lonzo is the worse shooter on the team. He was bad last night again plus he had one of the lowest +/- total of the game. He didn't deserve to play more than 21 minutes. Case closed. Walton was right not playing him anymore.
: :Maybe he will defend if you bench him ?
Lonzo is being played in lineups that do not suit his strengths. Bryce Alford and Aaron Holiday dominated the ball at UCLA. Lonzo is playing extended minutes with the bench unit, where Lance is the best initiator, while also being the second tallest on the floor. Zo's plus/minus is a result of playing with a horrible starting lineup in which he and Ingram form the defensive backcourt, and then playing with a bench unit that has no playmaker.
Some coaches are so in love with their own system they forget that play initiators are the key to making offense work.
Look at the two most used lineups for the Lakers on NBA.com. One is our current starting lineup, which gets outscored by 3 points over every 100 possessions. But by subbing out Ingram and putting in Hart, that lineup is a +11 per 100 possessions. Ingram should be coming off the bench, but the Lakers are keeping his value up for a trade.
