: The fat boy really showed his A$$ this weekend by having an official removed from his game because he thought that the official was giving him the business. But, what it actually was is that Dublin was giving his team the business. Yes, Mater Dei was down two starters, but I don't have any respect for the event director who facilitated that spoiled, pompous coach (McKnight) who bitched like a baby and pulled his team off of the court until the official was removed from the game. Yes, that particular official wasn't very good but he was consistent both ways. But he wasn't that bad to be removed. Dublin still got that A$$ though, in spite of the fact that the replacement official was obviously biased for Mater Dei. Come on fat boy, teach your kids to play through adversity. That will make them better players.
Let me give another perspective, although I was not at this game and cannot comment on the actual situation. Sometimes a coach has to defend and protect his players, eswpecially if an official is not doing his job and putting players in jeopardy. You seem by your tone that you have an ax to grind with McKnight so right from the start there is a sense of bias. Maybe he shouldn't have pulled his team but we don't know what was said that put him the frame of mind to do so. Yes coaching is all about teaching not only the game but how to play it. And your assumption that by pulling his team he sent the wrong message but maybe his message was, my team my responsibility and I need to make sure they are safe on the court, Yu may be right but there are different way to view the same situation.
