: : : : : 4.Los Alamitos is loaded with great guards and plays fast and will press the entire game! Lead by a great player Minter who could be one of the best juniors in the state. The best "Public School" .
: : : : : 5.Fairmont Prep- Has some good International Players, has Athletes and size,and plays a zone,a tough match up for most High School Teams.
: : : : : 6.Pacifica Christian has a good Team that plays well together! C.J. Spillman has D-1 offers and could help them go deep in the playoffs.
: : : : : 7.Canyon-Has the twins who could dominate if they get help from a good supporting cast!
: : : : : 8.La Habra has very good guards and guards win High School Games!
: : : : : 9.Sonora has 3 solid guards and will push La Habra for the "Crown" and a deep C.I.F run.
: : : : : 10.Orange Lutheran is rebuilding, but has some very good pieces to be able to finish mid pack in the Trinity and make a C.I.F run again!

: : : Los Alamitos is the best public Team in the County. Edison should be very good and plays well together! Marina can shoot it and plays fast. Fountain Valley should be good and is well coached. Huntington Beach has some good young talent. Very impressed with Laguna Beach they play very well together, runs some really good sets, and plays hard and smart!CDM has some good young talent and Coach Simco is a good Coach! Newport Harbor seems to always get the most out of a Program, that has a Priority in Volleyball/Swimming/Water Polo. The leagues are divided now and seems like CIF wants to give everyone a chance to get to the playoffs, so think they all have a chance! We like Coaches to load up their Schedule with great competition and elite Teams, but with trying to get over 500 and winning, some schedule easy wins. We will get to some practices and games and keep everyone updated on the Basketball Season! Good luck to everyone this season!

My son will be a freshman next season and is most likely choosing between Marina, HB, and Fountain Valley. we have tried to watch as many games as possible to help choose, which would you suggest? Do you know any of the coaches or think any of those would be best, I'm sure they are all great. Would love your opinion. Thank you
: Parents call us daily about "Where to attend High School and College"! We try our best to have most players go to their Local Schools. Today everyone is recruiting and Student/Athletes have alot of choices where to attend.For many its a " Private School', maybe for Academics, Faith/Religion,location, Sports Program,the right fit for the Student/Athlete:Playing time, Starting, Winning versus losing, culture, playing for good Coaches who care about players off and on the court, having good Teammates,playing where you our having fun, etc. To answer the question on all 3 of those schools, I would meet with the Athletic Director, Varsity Coach, go to watch their practices and games. Do they play the way my son plays and would be a good fit for him? We always try to find a place where you can play, if you never play you do not have fun, get tape, stats, Video, in shape, or develop on the bench,yes not eeryone is good enough to be a MVP, Starter, Sub, but its always funner to play then sit! DNP is not a good note on the Stat Sheet! Pray you find the right fit!
A very good list of Orange County schools. I like J Serra with thier big and point guard making a run in the Trinity league for a title. Capistrano Valley is going to be good again. Foothill always gets transfers and has 3 good players now.Do not sleep on Pacifica Christian has returners who went to the state last year. Maybe Coach Moore biased on Los Alamitos, since he is the best player to have ever played there and roots for them? Cypress is good and them and Crean will battle for the league title.
