The CIF Southern Section announced Wednesday morning it has placed the Riverside Poly boys basketball program on probation for multiple violations of section bylaws.

The program will be ineligible to compete in this season’s CIF Southern Section playoffs and also will have to forfeit its victories from the previous four seasons: 21 (2019), 27 (2020), 10 (2021) and 26 (2022).

According to the press release, the bylaws relevant to the decision are authorized participation (500C), administrative oversight (503, 503A, 503B), forfeiture status (500.2) and playoff eligibility (3411.A, 3411.C).

The school may request reinstatement for full participation for the 2023-24 school year by Nov. 1, 2023.

I see a lot of schools have 19 and 20 year olds playing HIGH SCHOOL Basketball. Much more to follow. One top program Gonzo, who is next???
