: : : : I'm curious to get some thoughts from the community! Lynnwood has won every playoff game by 50 points so far in 5AA..also sage hill is in 4A and cruising to championship. Both have d1 players and sage hill is just gonna recruit more, there coach can't coach. So Mt question is, does cif place them in a much higher division next playoffs to avoid this unfair disparity? It's not fair to rest of teams who actually deserve to be in those divisions
: : : Let's applaud Lynwood for their success & dominance. Where were your comments when Lynwood was getting beat & not making the playoffs? Coach Crowe & staff stayed loyal to the community, built a strong competitive program & their young talented team have worked extremely hard & should be winning. Nobody gives a damn when the undeserved community schools(Lynwood, Compton, Watts, Inglewood, South Central, etc) are losing.

: : so you complain about your "you owe me" communities when your best players leave for private or schools outside your zone?! Need to look into the mirror. how did Etiwanda and schools up and down the 15 freeway become basketball powers? They left your area! Cmon man. Grow up and put that in your pipe and smoke it.

: Not sure what any of that stupid response meant. I was just asking why these schools with crappy coaches and one or 2 D1 players are allowed to play in such low divisions

Playoff divisions are based on the power points accumulated over previous 2 years. Lynwood sat out the entire 2021 season because of Covid. Everyone else played, but they couldn't(?) So they had no points. Then last year they were not good, but the coach knew he was "bringing in" dudes and they were going to dominate the lower half of their conference and then the D5 playoffs would be a cake-walk. It was the blueprint. Coach was on the Kris Johnson podcast last fall and spoke on it.
What happens when they go up to the upper half of the conference next year and bump up a couple of playoff divisions? We'll see.
