: : : Seems like MD doesn't have the horses this year, very young team
: : : not focused. Talent level is down from recent years lost big
: : : D-1 center to a Nevada school over the summer, won't make open
: : : division playoffs this year but what is interesting if they are
: : : placed in the D-1 playoffs, they could win it!

: : Agreed. MD is young and beatable this year. OLu did earn the win last night over MD. I was at the game. Only second time in school history OLu has beaten MD at Varsity level in hoops.

: : OLu has transfers coming in. One already there, an under-hyped, solid under the radar player that has college offers. Also, a very well known player was at my house last week. He told me his dad wants him to transfer to OLu. If he does, writing it now, OLu will win CIF next year.

: Mater Dei has not had a significant transfer in 4 years. They just stop accepting/getting them. The only one was a non scoring point guard. They have three freshman who will be stars and a couple sophs that should be as well.

I know its not acceptable to do things the old school way and rather get free agents to keep the "dominant program" title but building from within and developing young guys is not a "Mater Dei losing it" its them doing things in a more reputable way.
