: : : : Whats the consensus out there on having juniors on JV?

: : : : Seems pretty weak ......If you can't make Varsity as a Junior its time to find a new sport.

: : : Maybe the team is loaded with seniors and they need the Junior to get in the court so they can be ready for next year.

: : Or maybe they are hs kids wanting to enjoy playing a sport with friends....geez what a concept...

: This last comment may be the best I’ve read in a while! I have a kid who tore his acl/mcl his freshmen year. He can’t play any sports his sophomore year because the injury was that bad. He’s playing varsity football his junior year and straight up said he’s fine playing JV basketball just to get on the court. Gotta love that sh!t!

More than likely the coach is a fan of the game but does not know how to coach. Lots them out there is high school. The communities know! Some high schools continue to be able to reload. Why, good coaching. Not fun playing with your "friends" losing by 20 to 30+ being yelled at by an idiot man called coach and going 7-21 at best.
