: : : : : : : : : Curious as to why kids always choose private schools with lesser coaches
: : : : : : : : : I think there are some public schools coaches who are better than coaches than private schools. Yet parents would rather send them to a lower private school…why?

: : : : : : : : :

: : : : : : : : : Proven public HC’s who are just as good as Private

: : : : : : : : : Harrison: Canyon
: : : : : : : : : Bossenmeyer: Tustin
: : : : : : : : : Reynolds: Villa Park
: : : : : : : : : Flemming: Laguna Beach
: : : : : : : : : Efstathiou: SJH
: : : : : : : : : Etemadi: Foothill
: : : : : : : : : Murphy: Sonora

: : : : : : : : : Sure there are more, but these guys are tops in public OC
: : : : : : : : : Boyce: Edison

: : : : : : : : :Fleming : Laguna Beach. No transfers !

: : : : : : : Racklin at Marina does a solid job
: : : : : : : Mounce at El Do too

: : : : : : To the original post. Most of these “lower” private schools offer faith based education.

: : : : : Do you really think the players that are there to play basketball really care about that? Look at CreanLutheran, Pacifica Christian, or CVC Most of the time it’s after thought about the religion.

: : : : Don’t forget Valley Christian, or Calvary Chapel

: : : I definitely think its a factor. Public school education is becoming more controversial and Covid did not help.

: : Given the wokeness of many California public school districts, any private/Catholic HS with good academics, top athletics, and that has stayed away from going woke has parents beating down the doors.

: These are all good names, but it's Boss or Fleming because if you see their freshmen classes each year, they are never very good. They really develop players over their four years.

Wokeness? I don't think that word means what you think it means. Go to a school where people care about you and let you be who you are vs going to a school where you are forced to conform to a culture which is not accepting of different. The Catholic Church has a lot of good things going for it over the past 2000 years.
