: There is a lot of chatter on this board about teams and their transfers, legal or not. What teams/ coaches do the best job coaching THEIR kids-NO transfers just neighborhood kids from their feeder schools and not getting involved with the whole recruiting scene.

Good point. Most kids want to play on stacked teams just to wear a uniform. The kids that stay local and keep working to develop their game are rare to find now. If the player is good, colleges will find them. A school in north oc, not know for being a basketball powerhouse, has an incoming junior that has many D2, D3 and NAIA colleges interested in him. I have seen the emails and communication. Continuous hard work pays off. The other reason why he is getting my looks, most important he is a straight A student all his life!

I see a lot of these transfer kids end up playing in junior college. They forgot about the school work!
