: : : : So... some guy says that Santa Clarita Chr is a top 10 team in SoCal. I disagree. Here's my list of better teams. (I have more.) Where do you think that I'm wrong?
: : : : Sierra Canyon
: : : : Bishop Montgomery
: : : : Harvard Westlake
: : : : Mater Dei
: : : : Cantwell
: : : : Mayfair
: : : : Long Beach Poly
: : : : JW North
: : : : ECR
: : : : Oak Park
: : : : Etiwanda
: : : : Centennial
: : : : Westchester
: : : : Fairfax
: : : : St. Anthony's
: : : : Norte Dame (yes I said it)
: : : : Rancho Christian is going to be very very good and little Mobley might be a top 3 pick in the NBA soon. Taft is still good. Colony High is going to be solid. St Anthony lost their top big to Bishop Montgomery. EL Camino is going to be down. Oak Park looked bad this summer got beat by Shalhavet. Yes Notre Dame is a top team and Williams might be a future 1st round pick. SCC will be good and is on the bubble of being a top 10 team.
: : The younger Mobley is an incredible talent for his class, but why label him as a top 3 pick in the NBA so soon? He and his brother have yet to lead their team to a CIF Championship, What is he going to do at the next level? I am not trying to knock the kid, I see the potential you are talking about. With that being said, for the purposes of this discussion, I think Rancho Christian should be a top ten team in SoCal this season. Santa Clarita Christian is just another BS small private school that has recruited a group of AAU kids with some talent. (See Village Christian) Where will that program be in 5 years? If we are still talking about them in 5 years, ok. They are a talented group of high school players, but they dont have what it takes to compete with the top teams in SoCal.
: The Mobley brothers are good but predicting them in the nba is silly. The same with Zaire at Notre Dame. But Rancho Chr is up there & a top 10 team. Santa Clarita Chr isnt'. They're not a group of good AAU kids. They're solid local high school players who wanted guaranteed winning seasons so they all teamed up at a small school in a low division. That's fine. But let's not call them top 10 or even top 20 in the area.
i'm sure you were saying the same thing when lonzo ball popped on the prep scene ...and look what happened ...the mobleys and ziaire williams are nba material
