: : : : : : There are 39 states who are playing safely,
: : : : : : those states which are not playing are being governed by want be
: : : : : : god's.
: : : : : : Here is the list:
: : : : : : California Governor Newsome

: : : : : : New Mexico Governor Michelle Juan Grisham

: : : : : : Oregon Governor Kate Brown

: : : : : : Washington Governor Jay Inslee

: : : : : : Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak

: : : : : : Colorado Governor Jarod Polis

: : : : : : West Virginia Governor Jim Justice

: : : : : : New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy

: : : : : : Make you're own judgement. The Super Bowl is in two weeks.

: : : : :
: : : : : New York's public schools have not started playing yet, only private schools. The public/private separation paid off for them.

: : : : : Some of the states you listed have other extenuating factors. Nevada is basically Las Vegas, 70 percent of all schools are in the Vegas metro area, which is still attracting tourists. Colorado's population is concentrated between Pueblo-Colorado Springs-Denver, where the air is actually of very poor quality. 80 percent of the population lives along a narrow corridor. Not rural at all.

: : : : : New Jersey's school-age population is mainly situated around the hot spot Philly/NYC metro areas, and the completely destitute Atlantic City region (thanks 80s Trump).

: : : : : New Mexico is flat out poor, and has delayed sports until February. NM has a large number of schools on reservations, which have fewer medical resources and cannot afford an outbreak.

: : : : : Colorado and West Virginia are practicing, and some teams have games Friday. So that leaves the west coast. Obviously CA has been a hotspot, though Oregon has far fewer cases per 100k of population and still hasn't played any games. Washington and Oregon both have committed to playing in March. Both have 60% of their state population in one metro area.

: : : : Blah Blah Blah!

: : : Yeah, that guy talks like a fag, and his shits all retarded. Reading is for fags!

: only one R governor in the bunch (West Virginia). He switched parties a few years ago. Surprised they aren't playing. Note that states like Michigan/Pennsylvania/Illinois are playing-no reason California can't.

CA had a nasty spike around Thanksgiving that knocked out any possibility of starting before March.

Illinois has been on a steady decline since Thanksgiving, still many of their major public schools haven't rolled the ball out yet, Simeon and Westinghouse among them. Only 16 total games have been played amongst the 140 schools in 4A, according to MaxPreps, as of now.

PA is playing in masks in certain districts.

MI has some weird scores on MaxPreps, 18-3 and 15-12 among them. Most schools in Detroit, such as Renaissance and Country Day, aren't even playing.

Though once you go North of Flint, you're practically in Canada, I'm sure schools on the UP of Michigan are playing, if anyone has watched Joe Pera on Cartoon Network they know how it is up there.
