: : : : : D favorite team won tonight's playoff game vs Yeshiva - final score 75-66 - the game was tied with n 3 minutes to go. Exciting game for sure - SRO gcrowd.

: : : : : In my opinion, the League MVP is Aiden OLiver - Oakwoods Big man - who scored 35 points en route to the big win! Oakwood used good clutch outside shooting to keep the score close and they made free throws down the stretch. Yeshiva is a VERY good team and they deserve a High Five for playing a strong game.
: : : : : Next up for Oakwood - next week - is the D4 championship game. 2 years in a row for Oakwood. Coach MIke Balian has done an excellent job with his team and I salute him. Win or lose, it has been a super fun season.
: : : : OOPS - final score correction - 85-77 - Oakwood.
: : I wouldnt be surprised if Oakwood wins State! Woo Hoo that!
: Last year, Foothill from Bakersfield and Southwest HS from San Diego made the D5 SoCal Championship Game. Each school has 1,800-1,900 students.
: Some D2 teams get moved to 3, 3 down to 4, 4 to 5 and vice versa. The only constant I can find is, the committee wants every team to face significant competition, no easy paths to Sacramento.
: Santa Clara, Western Christian, and Oakwood looked to be among the frontrunners in D5 last year, then the bracket came out and the D4 Central champion was the #1 seed in D5. Several other D4 schools from various sections were also in D5.
I know - i know getting to Sacramento is not easy. I know there are Many great teams out there. There is no way to know just how good many of these teams are. All i can do is cheer for my team.
