: : : With a history of high level play, Mater Dei is a program. I say that Bishop Montgomery is a program as well. Chino Hills has to be one to right? Everybody else are teams.
: : : Thoughts?
: : What about a team that has averaged over 20 wins a year for about twenty years playing in the highest division with multiple wins over Mater Dei and Chino Hills (don't think they've played BM recently if at all) with next to no recruitment? Would that be a team or a program? Thoughts?
: The school your talking about Recruit and get the best talent possible so yes thatís a program. Team that have a system and ajust to the players they have is also a program. As a coach I respect program that coaches coach the players they have that come from their area more than those big programs that bring in D1 after D1 talent, you canít compare apples to oranges.
chino hills NOT a program. they just burst onto the scene when lonzo got there, and really didn't get competative till he was a junior. a program is consistent over time and can be predicted to stay competative in the near future. for example, etiwanda, mater dei, bishop m., etc can be counted on to be a contenders in the next couple of years at least, and have been contenders the last 5 years or so. i believe chino hills will fade away after big O is gone.
