: : : : Brandon Williams scored 30 points to lead Crespi (16-2, 3-0) to a 96-64 Mission League win over Notre Dame Sherman Oaks

: : : : Said it months ago - ND at .500 by seasons end. Fools gold pre-season schedule had them at 12-1. Sarge and the Knights aren't ready for BIG BOY Mission League basketball.

: : : : not battle tested for the Mission League gauntlet. Maybe they get 2 wins in League. Would that be a good season? Same old, same old ND.

: : The talent in the mission is hella weak. But there's a sprinkle of guys to watch. Zaire at Notre Dame is very good. They play well as a team but everyone is HS ok. Brandon Williams is very good. Harvard Westlake is a good team & have a couple of good kids. That's pretty much it. DJ at Alemany is D1 & Fred is good but overall the mission is weak.

: Or maybe, just maybe, ND set their schedule to get 12 wins knowing that 13 (most teams play 26 games, so 13,thus qualifying for the pre-requistie .500 rule to make playoffs) So, if they win 1 more game and go 13-13, make playoffs, lose first round granted, they will have had a fine season. Parents happy, kids remember they had a good year (13-13,made playoffs).Years from now those kids, when asked about their Senior year basketball, will have fond memories knowing they had a non-losing season(possible winning season if they win 2 league games. Will be 14-12),and made playoffs. They will have zero recollection of who they played in non-league competition. Enjoy your time ND kids, the memories will last. Have a good season. Nobody will make the NBA or even D-1, so enjoy the experience of a solid season.

On top of that even with a bad league record they are more than likely in a division where they can win a game or two in playoffs. Makes for an even better look back and reminisce.
