: : Oak park hosts Simi Valley tonight at 7pm. Come out and see the Slajchert brothers do their 'thang'.
: Who thinks it's a good idea to film from the baseline? No one. Put the tripod in the stands, give us a view of the entire court, with a little elevation. There is a reason all TV broadcasts are shot this way, it is just a far better way to see how players really perform: You get to see the offense develop, what the defenders are doing, and how play develops. Shooting from baseline during warmups or one or two game cuts is ok, and gives one a sense of playdrs' heights and athleticism (or lack thereof) but an entire game, or a series of clips all from baseline is just too much. Not even watchable, and certainly not enjoyable.
: Also, please turn off the autofocus if you are going to film from the baseline...the constant going in and out of focus just gave me a headache.
: I appreciate what Popscout is doing by making his videos available, but.....tbey could be do much better with just a few basic tweaks.
There is no tripod to put in the stands.
It's one guy who mounts an iPad on his DSLR. The reason you get baseline videos is that is the best place for pictures.
He used to sell the pictures at the games.
Not sure if he still does that or if he is just trying to get a bunch of traffic to his site so he can sell advertising and his video/photo services.
So it's not going to change, appreciate anyone is doing it since there is little prep coverage in local papers anymore.
