: : A sophomore that played on varsity team transfers from state champion esperanza to el dorado. Now he has to sit? Or does he get to play without change of residence? What is the current cif rule? pylusd plays favorites and this adds to the documentation being gathered.
: If they didn't change residence, then it's a sit-out. It's not PYLUSD's choice if the kid plays or not. It's CIF. Stop trying to stir up something where there is 99% nothing to be stirred up. Stay out of the PYLUSD board meeting, don't send an email to the superintendent, don't start a picket line outside the district office. Stop "compiling evidence".. and go to the CIF site and read the Blue Book yourself. It's right there.
Rule book/CIF or not the AD's do the paperwork, if they sign off on it then they sign off on it and CIF doesn't do a thing. Many schools don't fight transfers because they have dirt of their own. The AD is the one who "does the house visit" if a change of residence is claimed not CIF. Many don't want to get involved so sign off unless it is a very high profile transfer.
