Question for the forum:
I'm on twitter arguing with someone on twitter about college selection. A kid narrowed down his list to UC Irvine, Nevada, Kenneshaw State, Cornell, Princeton, UNLV & Nevada.
I said that the list is really UNLV & the 2 ivies. The kid then committed to Nevada. So jerks start saying that he made the right choice and they're justifying it by saying that he'll play "big boy basketball" and play overseas.
My argument is that the kid was poorly advised. Cornell or Princeton trumps playing midmajor hoops in Reno. They trump midmajor period. They trump high major if you're not starting. At least that's my opinion... and logic. But if someone feels different I'd like to hear why.
(Don't replay if you're trying to tell us that Nevada has a great education or nice place to live. We're comparing it to Cornell and Princeton, not Cal Poly Pomona.)
